K.FLAY is taking a trip to the past with a brand new covers EP filled with favorite’s from the ‘90s.

The three-track collection, dubbed DON’T JUDGE A SONG BY ITS COVER, features renditions of Green Day’s BRAIN STEW, The Offspring’s SELF ESTEEM & Limp Bizkit’s immortal BREAK STUFF.

K.Flay explains that she wanted her covers to present these songs “in a totally new context and really expose the vulnerability of the lyrics.” “Each cover is a reimagining of a ‘90s rock hit that was heavy, aggressive, and male-fronted,” she says. “But when you break them down, they are SUPER EMOTIONAL. So this is me celebrating an era that’s had a huge influence on my career, and kind of excavating the emotionality I found in these iconic songs.”
