Designed as a workhorse mic for vocal and instrument recording as well as streaming applications, the blackĀ Yamaha YCM01Ā is a studio microphone with an XLR output and a cardioid polar pattern, which helps to focus audio capture on the sound source in front of the mic, picking up less background sound from the rear and sides.
The side-address mic offers a traditional 3-pin XLR output for use with a wide variety of professional audio equipment and a 48V phantom power source is required for operation. The microphone features an electret condenser capsule, which provides a 30 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and can handle SPLs up to 130 dB. A stand adapter and pouch are included.
